We are Divemasters!
Written by cindi on July 12, 2008 – 7:44 pm -After 4 long, hard (if you call 70 dives in 4 weeks hard) - Jason and I have completed our divemaster training! That’s right, you can now refer to me as Cindi Davis, DM. We are down to our last 2 weeks on Utila before heading to Costa Rica to meet up with Julia, Travis, and Willits.
We have also moved apartments. Our landlady was going to charge us a ton to rent for 2 weeks instead of monthly, so since our dear friend Kelly departed last night - we have taken over her place. This place has 2 huge perks - 1: it’s right across the street from our dive center rather than the 15 minute walk we’ve been doing and 2: CABLE TV BABY! Tonight we are taking full advantage of watching TV, getting some Seven Seas takeout and doing nothing.
We completed our snorkel tests - congrats to the new divemasters Rachel, Dan, Helen, Jason and I. Here are some new pics of Jason pre-test and the group afterwards:

Later!

Hey Jason. I was wondering how you were doing and searched for your site. Looks like things are going real well for you guys. Congratulations on the Dive Master.
Still a slave to the wage here at home…

Holy shit! You guys are tan! Travis and I are going to stick out like a sore thumb compared to the two of you and your bronze-God/Goddess status. Congrats on finishing up- now it’s time to chill and have fun. See you soon!

Boom, y’all!
I am already in diving withdrawal. Yesterday I went to my local dive shop to see if I could work as a divemaster before school starts. The diving here is an hour away to a quarry in PA where there is nothing to see except deliberately sunken school buses. Shitty.
Right now I sit at home in New Jersey agonizing over medical school decisions. Turns out not much has changed in those Estados Unidos.
Looking forward to hearing about Roatan and seeing more pictures as the year goes on.
In the dirty dirty,
Dan

Dan! We miss you around here - glad you made it back safe and sound. We changed our minds about Roatan so we´re heading to Nicuragua Sunday and then will be in CR by Aug 2nd. Keep us posted about medical school - best of luck and we hope to see you in Utah on the slopes winter 2009!
